Laos

So, after 10 days in Vietnam, we made it to Laos. Presently, I'm at an internet cafe in the capital city, Vientiane and so far I really like it here (in Vientiane, the internet cafe is only okay). I really want to be able to start putting pictures up, but the internet is sooo slow here! I've been waiting for an hour and have only managed to upload 40 pictures.

If I ever get that sorted, I will post pics!!

Paradise.

So, we're in Siem Reap in Cambodia now after surviving the  28 hour journey from Koh Tao!

Here are some pics from the islands we were on:

The lounge/bar at our bungalow on Koh Phangan.

Hammocks!

The view from our balcony.

Sunset on Koh Phagnan.

Eating fish heads.

Tropical islands!

With friends on the beach at night. Full moon!

More sunsets. This time on Koh Tao.

Going snorkeling.

Me being bad at snorkeling.
All-in-all the islands were amazing. I think I could have stayed on Koh Phangnan for the rest of my time here, but so far Siem Reap has been amazing, too, and tomorrow it's off in a tuktuk to see Angkor Wat!

Miss you!

Koh Phangan

So, we made it to Koh Phangan, an island in the southwest of Thailand. It's gorgeous. We're staying in a bungalow on the top of a hill with a view of the Gulf of Thailand. I'll post pictures when I can find a computer that will let me upload them!

Taste of the Moon

A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Jiyoung and Becky in Hongdae to check out Taste of the Moon, a bar Jiyoung had read about in some travel article or something. But they had a bunch of different flavors of makgeolli as well as makgeolli cocktails which sounded interesting and it certainly was. We tried a bunch of different flavors, honey, chestnut and tomato are a few that I can recall. We had to order anju (a sidedish) so we chose the kimchi pancake with haloumi cheese and it was super delicious.

Tea in Insadong

Bucket List Check: Cinnamon tea in Insadong.

Nick and I met with KK, Tadhg and Caitlin in Insadong to get some traditional Korean tea. Tadhg had also never been to Insadong, which is just entirely absurd. It was a nice Sunday evening.

Tea!

KK got bamboo tea. It tasted like leaves.

Ginger Tea

Omija Tea

Leaves!

We both got cinnamon tea.

It was cute.

Plates!

A Visit to Osan

Yesterday afternoon, I hopped on the Line 1 to Osan to visit Nate, Val and Aliza one more time before I take off. They picked me up at the station and took me to the base to get dinner at Chili's. It was amazing and super weird like being in America. THERE WAS UNSWEETENED ICED TEA!!!!!!!!!! I had a great time but wish I'd thought to have someone take a picture of the whole group instead of just my food.  ㅠㅠ

Chips and Salsa!!!!

Chicken Ranch Sandwich with Swiss Chz!!!!

Aliza being adorable.

Enjoying the luxury.
After dinner we tried to go to the BX but I couldn't get in with my visitors pass, so we headed back to their apartment to drink some tea and look through the pictures from the vacation they just took to Thailand and Vietnam. It was a pleasant evening and gave me lots of good ideas for my trip!

11 more days!!!
